Double the Love, Double the Lives Saved!

Tis the season for giving, and NorSled hopes to be on your nice list this year. We know times are tough, but together we can make giving simple and powerful.

Every gift made before December 31 will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000. That means your gift goes twice as far for the dogs who need us most.

NorSled is 100% volunteer-run, and every single donation dollar goes directly to the dogs—covering vet bills, medications, food, supplies, and kenneling costs.

What we have achieved so far:

81 dogs rescued this year
65 already adopted
34 in foster care
20 waiting in kennels

Many of the dogs were labeled “Rescue Only” due to medical needs or fear, others were within hours of euthanasia, and some were abandoned outright.

The rescue crisis often feels like fighting a forest fire with an eyedropper. Yet every time someone fosters, adopts, volunteers, or donates, one more patch of fire is extinguished. Together, we can keep hope alive for these dogs.

What We Do, We Save Dogs

Twilight - When we first met Twilight in January, she was a 6 month old pup from the Central Valley. Unhoused, underweight, and struggling with severe skin issues.

Fast forward to today. Twilight is healthy, happy, and thriving in a foster home! She’s fully vetted and finally living the life every dog deserves.

We couldn’t do this without our amazing fosters and generous donors. Thank you for helping us give dogs like Twilight their second chance!

Montana - When the Trinity Animal Shelter announced it was closing, NorSled stepped in to rescue Montana, a beautiful white Siberian Husky who had spent 18 months in the shelter and was facing possible euthanasia. NorSled brought her into rescue, giving her the second chance she desperately needed. Just days into her foster stay, Montana took a fall from a second-story balcony and fractured her leg in two places.

Thanks to NorSled’s commitment to these wonderful animals and to your donations, Montana was able to receive expert orthopedic surgery and six months of supported recovery. Today, she’s fully healed and happily living with her foster-turned-forever family — a shining example of what your donations can make possible.

Charlie: For weeks, a young red husky wandered Stockton’s streets—alone, afraid, and overlooked. Locals called her “Charlie,” but with shelters overflowing, her future looked bleak. A NorSled volunteer and her dad couldn’t stand by, they found her trembling and emaciated. For the first time in weeks, Charlie was safe.

Now in NorSled, Charlie is healing—but her vet visit revealed serious concerns: abnormal blood counts, severe malnutrition, and the need for ongoing treatment, vaccinations, and spay surgery. She’s improving, but her recovery will take time. Charlie needs more than love—she needs support which she is getting and although not fully recovered she is getting the best care to make a full recovery.

👑 Princess Prancer Awaits Her Fairytale Fur-ever!

Henlo! I’m Prancer — 6 years young, beautiful, intelligent, affectionate, and fabulously sassy. For FIVE long years I’ve dreamed of my happily-ever-after, and I decree it’s time to take matters into my own royal paws!

I may not dazzle you right away, but with patience (and a few jerky tributes, taken very gently), you’ll soon be rewarded with kisses, happy jumps, and majestic tail swishes. I love romping outdoors, telling husky tales, and yes — I can be a bit stubborn (royal opinions aren’t easily swayed). But I already know “Sit” and I’m eager to keep learning.

My perfect kingdom?
