Canine of the Month

Put your pet on our website for the world to see.

For $100 donation to Norsled, your companion can be a Canine of the Month.  We will have a link and a photo from our main page to your pet's page where we will post pictures you send us, information about your dog and a description or cute story about him or her.  Your pet does not have to be from NorSled or even a rescue dog.  So, for a donation of $100 to our Nordic breed rescue, you get to show off your furry friend.

We will also create a custom design to be included in our NorSled Store at CafePress. You may select the item (shirts, mugs, hats, etc.) that you would like your custom canine art displayed on. Note: CafePress items must be purchased separately.

Meet Luna - May 2007 Canine of the Month!

Luna - Siberian Husky - Canine of the Month

Luna came into the shelter and went immediately to a doting foster
home… with me. I sent her out several times on potential adoptions,
but apparently Luna wanted to stay with me, as she behaved very badly and did not make a good impression. Back she came both times very rapidly.

Luna - Siberian Husky - May Canine of the MonthSince being in her permanent home…with me, she has bonded well with
two rowdy northern breed brothers and barks referee commands at their wrassling matches. She is also exceptionally intelligent and is
perfectly housebroken - barks by the door to go out, and will loudly
overturn her food dish or water bowl when hungry or thirsty. Sign language that is Hard to misunderstand!

Luna - Siberian Husky - May Canine of the MonthShe loves to jump into the bathtub and lick the cool, damp ceramic. There are always little dark footprints on the mat. She also adores being in the pond and getting her perfect little white paws all wet and dirty. We call her Luna the Tuna and Tunadog. At the dog park, she always comes when called, but excels in walking deep in the mud when the tide is out especially right when it's time to go home! Her place on the bed is dead center!! An exceptional canine, she is the perfect complement to her new home and has settled in very well.
