Northern CA Sled Dog Rescue (NORSLED) is a 501(c)(3) non profit all volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing, fostering and finding homes for unwanted, abandoned and abused Northern breed dogs, including Siberian Huskies, Malamutes, Samoyeds, American Eskimos and mixes of same. We work throughout Northern California and parts of Nevada. We often provide extensive medical care as well. Donations to NorSled are tax deductible. Please click the PayPal icon to support NorSled.

Canine of the Month
Put your pet on our website for the world to see.
For $100 donation to Norsled, your companion can be a Canine of the Month. We will have a link and a photo from our main page to your pet's page where we will post pictures you send us, information about your dog and a description or cute story about him or her. Your pet does not have to be from NorSled or even a rescue dog. So, for a donation of $100 to our Nordic breed rescue, you get to show off your furry friend.
We will also create a custom design to be included in our NorSled Store at CafePress. You may select the item (shirts, mugs, hats, etc.) that you would like your custom canine art displayed on. Note: CafePress items must be purchased separately.

Meet Merlyn - April 2007 Canine of the Month! !
Meet Merlyn, a Newfoundland/Golden Retriever mix. Merlyn is a fun loving 97 lb bundle of energy - loves to chase after stuffed animals and chew bones. Enjoys his walks and sunshine and naps on the sofa.
Merlyn had a rough start - when he was 10 months old he found himself in a shelter. Newf rescue pulled him - a completely untrained pup full of love and energy - but with no concept of how to behave. It took time and effort, but he is now a complete love - even if he does occasionally steal a cookie or two off the counter.
